With over 30 years of experience in the elementary classroom, Mary Lutz brings a deep love for education and a heart for children to her role as Co-Director at RLHC. A National Board Certified Teacher, Mary is passionate about sparking curiosity and wonder in students, especially through her favorite subjects—science and social studies.
She believes that the best learning happens when children are actively engaged, and she delights in creating hands-on, experiential opportunities that bring concepts to life. Whether it’s through STEM challenges, field investigations, or creative storytelling, Mary’s joy is helping students connect knowledge with real-world application.
In addition to her classroom experience, Mary has also taught English to children in China, further expanding her love for cross-cultural learning and global connection.
A proud North Carolina native, Mary is a mother to four grown children and “GranMary” to five precious grandchildren. Her dedication to nurturing the next generation, coupled with her extensive experience and heart for homeschooling families, makes her a treasured part of the RLHC leadership team.
Mary will oversee the operations of our elementary school programming.
