Rooted in Faith, Flourishing in Learning

Partnering with families to nurture academic excellence and spiritual growth through a balanced hybrid program.
At RLHC we value spiritual growth, academic excellence, and strong family connections. All of our curriculum is faith-based and encourages students to view the world through a biblical lens, integrating God’s truth into every subject.

Our Christ-centered hybrid model brings families and educators together to create a flexible, well-rounded learning experience. Core subjects—math and reading/ELA—are taught each morning, while afternoons feature engaging electives such as fine arts, STEM, science, and social studies. This partnership of home and classroom fosters deep understanding, strong character, and a love for God and others.

Horizons

Look Closer

Lower Elementary Educational Service Plan (ESP) K-2nd grade

Our coursework provides a strong foundation in reading, phonics, handwriting, and mathematics; ensuring students develop essential skills while fostering a love of learning. We strive to create excitement in the classroom while preparing students for the challenges of upper elementary coursework.

In the mornings, students engage in core academic subjects within self-contained classrooms, allowing for focused instruction. Students are grouped in math and reading according to ability not by age. In the afternoons, they rotate through a variety of specials with their peers, enriching their learning experience through diverse subjects and activities.

Upper Elementary Educational Service Plan (ESP) 3rd-5th grade

Upper Elementary builds upon the foundational knowledge students have already acquired, guiding them toward a deeper understanding of mathematics, literature, writing, history, science, and the arts. Through structured learning and mentorship, students develop the ability to organize information, think critically, and strengthen their listening, memory, and response skills.

Middle School Educational Service Plan (ESP) 6th-8th grade

In sixth through eighth grade, students transition into deeper critical thinking about the world around them. They develop their skills in analysis, reasoning, and applying critical thinking to various subjects. At RLHC, we intentionally integrate these abilities into our coursework, fostering effective communication, logical reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving. Students also refine their ability to analyze data and work together to find solutions to complex, real-world problems.

Grading and Academic Evaluation

Rooted Learning Homeschool Center (RLHC) does not issue formal grades. As all students enrolled at RLHC are homeschool students, parents maintain full responsibility and final authority for assigning grades and keeping academic records in accordance with North Carolina homeschool law.

While formal report cards are not provided, RLHC strongly values communication and partnership between Academic Mentors and parents. Regular Academic Mentor/Parent Conferences will be scheduled to discuss each child’s strengths, areas for growth, and recommendations for continued academic and spiritual development.

These conferences are designed to support parents in their role as the primary educators and to ensure alignment between home instruction and classroom support.

RLHC believes that open and ongoing communication between home and school is vital to helping students flourish—spiritually, academically, and personally.

Cultivate students who reason and think critically through the lens of God’s Word.
